The Pathways Program assists individuals impacted by intimate partner violence, stalking, sexual assault, and human trafficking. Pathways advocates work with survivors to plan for their safety, access needed services and resources, and provide crisis counseling. Pathways shelter creates a stable, communal living environment for survivors and their families to heal from trauma. Pathways program also includes services for sexual assault survivors. At its very core, Pathways aims to listen, believe and support survivors.

Program Services include:

24/hour crisis line Walk-in services at the Meadowlark (12pm-4pm, M-F) Emergency shelter Off-site response Counseling services (Group and individual)

Action Group Facilitators lead weekly after-school and lunchtime Action Groups made up of girls, non-binary, and gender diverse youth from Missoula’s elementary, middle and high schools.

A facilitator must also: 1. Make a commitment to volunteer for a whole semester, preferably a whole year. 2. Participate in four hours of training. 3. Attend each scheduled weekly Action Group (usually 3:30pm-5pm or lunch hour.) 4. Attend 1-2 volunteer meetings per semester. 5. Be on time to all scheduled groups, meetings, and community adventures. 6. Come well prepared with activities, points of discussion, materials, GUTS! curriculum, etc. 7. Create a supportive, respectful, open, comfortable, and fun learning environment. 8. Keep in good communication with co-facilitator, GUTS! staff, and school coordinator.

Looking for low-volume, consistent volunteer hours this summer?    YWCA Missoula is seeking a reliable individual to help deliver snacks and meals to our GUTS! campers and the youth residing in the Meadowlark! Making sure kids are fed and ready for the day's adventure is crucial to our programing!   This position is 30-45 minutes/weekday morning commitment- but we are flexible!!   Volunteer will get to know both the Missoula Food Bank and YWCA programming as they help us ensure families get the meals they need for kiddos while school is out!
