Back for a second year, join SBFC for our women’s project in the Frank Church-River of No Return Wilderness! Cap off your summer with a week spent improving trails and practicing wilderness ethics amongst a crew of female volunteers. We’ll be working alongside volunteers from the Pulaski Users Group out of Hailey, ID.
Starting at Yellowjacket Guard Station, we will work north on an eight-mile section of the Upper Yellowjacket Creek #6038 trail. We will clear downed trees and construct turnpike over wet sections of trail, all while building camaraderie and community!
This project is for women of all ages and experience levels! Whether a seasoned trail worker or a first-time backpacker, enjoy this unique respite among an awesome group of women in the stunning Frank Church Wilderness!
This is a moderate trip with pack support. A female packer from the Forest Service will haul in tools, equipment, group gear, and food, however individuals will need to carry their own personal gear and items (see packing list).
SBFC will provide breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and snacks.
