Join us for a week stewarding trails in the Horse Creek Hot Springs area of the Frank Church-River of No Return Wilderness. The work will focus on clearing fallen logs, brushing back vegetation, and improving water drainage on the Cayuse Creek Trail #6166 and the Reynolds Creek Trail #6177.
Bring your swimsuit! After a hard day’s work, enjoy a scenic soak in the remote natural hot springs. Or, you may want to try your luck at gold panning, a popular activity in the area. Opportunities abound for fishing, climbing, or even stargazing from one of the nearby fire lookouts.
There is no pack support for this project. We will be car camping in a dispersed site near Horse Creek. Project difficulty is rated as moderate.
SBFC will provide breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and snacks.
